Interesting day
Today is the first day of my blog. I chose Aaron Pierson marathoning because I love to run marathons. Marathoning has done so much for me and I am forever grateful. Today started very interesting I was denied a coaching opportunity because of my proximity you see this particular woman lives in Oakland, CA. and I live in Warren, MI and to her this does not work. I wish she would reconsider but I don't think she will. I remember during my prime marathoning years I was definitely coached afar and mean really afar. I was coached by reading books by successful coaches and athletes and remembering my past coaches workouts. I was also mentored by a very successful runner but other than that it was me and a few books and a creative mind. So to me proximity is meaningless but to others I guess it is very important. One last thing for my first day of blogging this font is called Georgia so the font is dedicated to all of my new Georgia friends.

ReplyDeleteVery intersting first post! Ha ha. Correct me if I am wrong, but you did not coach because of love life and long distance? I was kinda confused, but for me you have to put everything PLAIN AND SIMPLE. Ha ha. <-- I'm just a little slower. I think it's neat that you learned from books. I could never do that, but I am more of a hands on person. The only books I have read are the Twilight books, and who hasn't read those! Ha ha.

Lauren, you are very funny. Coaching for the love of life and long distance that is a good one. Yes learning from books is difficult but like I said also referred back to previous coaches. One last thing Lauren, I have never read a Twilight book but maybe I will some day.
